a hearty cheers from the wine training group at giggling grape

Great times with wine

Tasting Events

I love getting people together for a good time! Of course, assisted by delicious wines, and usually a bite to eat. Did anyone say champagne and crisps!?

As well as hosting events, I also do ‘just for you’ private tastings, often for celebrations, birthdays or hen parties, when you choose the wines, any food, and perhaps a theme; e.g. “big reds”, “local English” or “honeymoon country” wines.

Upcoming Giggling Events

Here’s the tastings and events coming up. Sometimes wine is front and centre, and sometimes wine shares the stage with food – whatever the format, there’s always a great time to had!

  • Wine bar open in Castle Cary

    Giggling Late

On the last Friday of every month, starting on Friday 27 February, the Giggling Grape Tasting Room (at the back of Schimmel Hardware) will be open for cheeky tastings, by the glass (or bottle) sipping and shopping!

Come and explore my new wines, both “the classics and something delicious and little different”.

Also; Woodshedding Beers, Pinkmead Gin, King Brain organic cider and snacks from Pinsents deli.

    Fridays were made for this!

    Giggling Grape Tasting Room

The Giggling Grape Tasting Room is open!💚 ♥️

At the back of Schimmel Hardware, Fore Street, Castle Cary, is a treasure trove of delicious wines across the price range.  I’m open on Friday and Saturday, 10am – 5pm, so come in for a sip, a chat and a mooch. Every weekend I’ll be cracking open something delicious to try.

    Some current faves …

My best-selling Rioja, Rich and intense; berries, spice, vanilla and a touch of coconut from American oak.  Crianza only in name – absolutely delicious.  £20.25.

La Ruine Chardonnay.  Refreshing, unoaked and packed full of green apples with a little citrus and pear.  Guaranteed to rewrite the alphabet for any ABCs out there!  £13.25.

“Better than Krug!” Alfred Gratien’s, Brut Millesime, 2016. Intense, dried apricot and pear, caramel and brioche.  Gorgeous.  £64.00.

A revelation of a Lambrusco.  Dry, pink with gentle fizz – then brimming with red apple, cranberry and pomegranate.  £19.00.

Prices from £10.90. No minimum order.  Free 5 mile local delivery over £125 – unless I walk Ella 🐾 past your house!

Looking forward to catching up – and helping life go with an extra Giggle!
