I love getting people together for a good time! Of course, assisted by delicious wines, and usually a bite to eat. Did anyone say champagne and crisps!?

As well as hosting events, I also do ‘just for you’ private tastings, often for celebrations, birthdays or hen parties, when you choose the wines, any food, and perhaps a theme; e.g. “big reds”, “local English” or “honeymoon country” wines.

    A sparkling wine tasting workshop!  Learn about how sparkling wine gets to taste quite so delicious, and get all fizz-ical by tasting eight champagnes and sparkling wines – accompanied by suitably classy canapés.

    Why does Champagne taste like, well … like champagne?  What’s different about how Cava is made?  How is Prosecco made and why does it taste different?  Why is English sparkling wine so expensive?

    I LOVE fizz, and I love the magic that brings the sparkle to my glass, and my mood!

    And only by tasting can we truly learn!  So the evening includes; sipping

    • Premier Cru Champagne vs. cheapie champers
    • Top notch Cava vs. lesser Spanish bubbles
    • Premium Prosecco DOCG vs. entry level
    • and tip-top rosé English sparkling wine

    The ultimate wine quiz returns to the Chalke Valley as three ‘experts’ – including the Giggling Grape – attempt to convince you that their description of the wine in your glass is the correct one!

    Ticket price includes tasting wines and cheese boards. Plus a fine wine raffle and cash bar. All proceeds to the Village Hall.
