So that’s what it’s for!

Was lovely to welcome a very (can I say this?) warm and wet cyclist to the Tasting Room last Saturday.  A very tasty selection was promptly made, prompting the question “where am I going to keep it” en route home!

You can imagine the helpful suggestions!!  Back pockets were explored, before the bottle disappeared inside a slightly damp Lycra jacket – safe and mostly sound.

Upon seeing my customer again, sans cycle, in the week – there was no review of the wine, rather a triumphant “You’ll love this!”  And behold, a photo displayed the correct use of the ‘water’ bottle feature on a bike.

The learning?  There is always room for a bottle of wine.

Especially when it’s a rather delicious Picpoul.  Typically, I am very suspicious of the wine; finding it too thin, too lemon, too sharp.  So, I am very happy to stock Luvignac, Picpoul de Pinet, St Clair, 2024.  Yes there’s citrus, and green apple, and spring flowers, and a lovely rounded feel in my mouth.  Rightly, it’s one of my best-sellers!
