Deep ruby red with violet flecks; generous and rich with intense aromas of ripe red berry fruit and ripe tannins softened by oak ageing.  More freshness than in many Primitivo wines.

Grapes are from vines cultivated for intense fruit flavours rather than volume, on the western side of the 'heel' of Italy that is Puglia, where hot summers make for ripe grapes, and generous, soft wines.
